Ways to Handle Peer Pressure  

  1. Watch less T.V.

  2. Eat meals with family.  (avoid T.V. and other distractions)

  3. Let your parents know your friends and your friends parents.

  4. ”Peer Pressure Reversal”   1.  Check out the scene.  2.  Make a good decision.  3.  Act to avoid trouble.

  5. Say “No”.  Walk away and don’t turn around—Keep Walking.

  6.   Surround yourself with people that generally care about you and are motivated.

  7. Don’t put yourself into bad situations.

  8. Don’t set yourself up.

  9. Buy time.

  10. Reject the drug, not the person who offers it.

  11. Make your own decisions and follow them.

  12. Seek strength in numbers

  13. Decide beforehand how to handle tense situations.
