PEP Information

Prior to your 8th grade PEP talk appointment, please preview the follow areas.

Career Cruising (click to preview how to log in) - In 8th grade, students need to complete the Career Matchmaker, have 3 saved careers, have a career cluster saved, have career and life goals listed, and have at least one activity enter for each of the following areas: extra-curricular, hobby, skills and abilities, awards and certificates, volunteer and work experience listed.  PHS scheduling is also done through Career cruising.  Click on any of the highlighted words for a "how to" on entering this information into Career Cruising.

New Vocabulary - This link helps define many new terms that you will be hearing as you move forward in your schooling.

GPA, Credits, Cum Laude System - What are they and why are they important?

Extracurricular Activities:  What can you get involved in?  Plymouth believes that if you are involved in school, you'll be successful.  There is something for everyone!

Curriculum Guide:  What options are available next year and as an upper classman?  Look at the areas that interest you and check out what Plymouth can offer.  College and Technical School Credit Classes are listed in the curriculum guide so take note of these if you are looking to save some money!  Youth Apprenticeship Programs are also listed on this link.  These may be options for you as an upper classman.  Look into it now, so you are ready!

Scholarships - What scholarships are out there?  Some you may need to be aware of as a freshman!  Go to this site to see all the options...it is a bit overwhelming, but the more you know the more money you'll be able to find.

This video below is a compelling case for students to explore career choices early, make informed decisions when declaring their college education goal, and to consider technical skill acquisition, real-world application and academics (career technical programs) in tandem with a classic education.
